8-STOREY EDUCATIONAL BUILDING, SOON
In line with the expansion of the University, the tallest educational building in the province of Negros Oriental worth PhP 82-Million will soon be constructed at NORSU Main Campus II Bajumpandan, Dumaguete City.
Dr. Jim Villahermosa, Chief Administrative Officer and Acting HRMO, shared that an eight-storey science and technology center will soon rise at NORSU Campus II.
Supposedly to rise in the Main Campus I, but thru the approved BOR Resolution No. 104, s. of 2016, was move to the Main Campus II because comparatively MC II is more spacious than of the MC I, Dr. Jim added.
Dr. Villahermosa said that the approved budget for this new building will be acquired from the 2017 General Appropriations Act (GAA) allotted to NORSU.
Dr. Armando Alviola, Dean of the College of Criminal Justice Education located at the Bajumpandan Campus, expressed his joy with regards to the new development that will soon be realized at the said campus. He added that this development would hopefully encourage and help our students to have a more conducive environment for them to excel well with there corresponding area of studies.
The new building will hopefully be occupied by students from the different colleges of the university to help the increasing needs of the increasing population of the university, he further added.
