Key officials attends CSC training
Civil Service Commission-Central Office conducts a one-day Public Service Values Program (PSVP) training for NORSU Key Officials at C and L Bay View, Dumaguete City last April 7.
In accordance to CSC MC No. 22, s. 2011 Gawing Lingkod Bayani ang Bawat Kawani, the CSC has iniated various programs and issued policies towards building competent, credible and motivated bureaucracy which aims to make a Lingkod Bayani out of every civil servant. One of which is The PSVP training for NORSU officials.
The resource speaker for the training was Audie B. Masigan, Subject Matter expert, demonstrated the importance of values for public servants.
Masigan emphasized the acronym IPIS which stands for Intriga, Puot, Inggit and Selos. These are more or less the causes of ineffectiveness of people working in the industry. He added that in order to remove these negativities out of the working place it must be done with SAHIG (Sacrifice, Accountability, Humility, Integrity and Generosity).
Dr. Jim Villahermosa, Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), said that the training program is pretty much a big help for him.
Dr. Villahermosa further explained that they (participants) were enlightened with the workshop; it made them look back to the basic values needed to become a good public servant to their respective constituents.
The training program was attended by 37 out of the 40 university key officials invited to be present at the said event.
