“VP: Utilize all things indicated in your PPMPs”
Dr. Noel Marjun Yasi, VP for Administration, Planning and Development (VP-APD), encouraged all the heads of offices and end-users during the “setting of performance targets 2017” to utilize the things indicated in each of their respective Project Procurement Management Plans (PPMPs) before the third quarter of the FY 2017 ends.
According to Dr. Yasi, most of the offices are still not utilizing the majority of things they have requested for. Most of it should have been requested during the 1st and 2nd quarter of the year but was not able to do such.
It can be remembered that the NORSU Board of Regents (BOR) has resolved to reinforce the Bids and Awards Committee (BAC) and revamp the BAC Secretariat and Technical Working Group during the BOR meeting last January 19, 2017 at the Bethel Guest House in Dumaguete City. This was in the response to reports of irregularity in the procurement of several projects involving both the BAC Secretariat and TWG.
During the time when the Bids and Awards Committee (BAC) and BAC Secretariat were closed, all transactions had been put to halt and requisition of such things indicated in the PPMPs was not available at the time until it was re-opened and resumed its transactions.
Nonetheless, the VP-APD highlighted the importance of camaraderie of each and everyone to be able to achieve the goals of each office and the university in general. “If one does not act well, everyone else suffers”, the VP added.
