CAFF, as it continuously grows, has 14 Bachelor of Science in Agriculture instructors, 6 Bachelor of Science in Forestry instructors, 6 Liberal Arts instructors and 12 field technicians with over 300 Students enrolled in 2 degree programs.

The history of the College of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries began when Dr. Henry A. Sojor, who took the helm of leadership on August 17, 1991 as the second president of Central Visayas Polytechnic College (CVPC) now NORSU, offered Associate in Agricultural Technology (AAT) in the then College of Technician Education in pursuant to its mission as mandated in its charter, Batas Pambansa Bilang 401 “...to give professional and technical training in science and technology advanced specialized instruction in literature, philosophy, arts and sciences, besides providing for the promotion of scientific and technological researches” of which Dr. Julito B. Aleta served as the AAT program coordinator.

In 1995, Bachelor of Agricultural Technology (BAT) and Bachelor of Science in Forestry (BSF) were offered in the College of Arts and Sciences under the leadership of Dr. Romula S. Aleta. Designated to assist her in the two programs was Dr. Venancia L. Olasiman who served as her assistant dean in 1996-1998.

Second semester of 1998, Dr. Venancia L. Olasiman submitted a proposal to the Planning, Research, Extension Services and International Linkages (PREXIL) Office - creating a College of Agriculture and Forestry — at the time PREXIL, was headed by Dr. Eva M. Moncada. The proposal was endorsed by her to the President's Office.

In January 1999, the Board of Trustees (BOT) approved the creation of the College of Agriculture and Forestry (CAF). So, June 1999, CAF started to operate. The college occupied two rooms of the third floor of the Engineering building at NORSU Main Campus Il in Bajumpandan, Dumaguete City. The building at Western part of Bajumpandan Campus was under construction at that time. Second semester of SY 1999-2000, CAF moved to where it is now.

Aiming at serving the community in a wider scope, CVPC acquired property at Sitio Tuwang, Brgy. Poblacion, Pamplona, Negros Oriental in the year 1995 and subsequently created CAF Pamplona extension. The 6.1 hectare land area was donated by Hon. John Henry R. Osmefia, one of the major stockholders of the Pamplona Golf and Country Club and plantation, who was a senator that time. It was later entrusted to Alejandro Saycon who got the designation as the caretaker. Mr. Alan E. Faburada, of the personnel of the college, was given the task to develop the agricultural production of the college extension as the farm manager.

Due to its exceptional performance, the institution metamorphosed from being a practicum site into being the core of instruction, research, extension and production in the field of Agroforestry. In June 2008, under the jurisdiction of Dr. Henry A. Sojor, the 1st university president, CAF Pamplona extension started operating with the Associate in Agricultural Science program where the first harvest festival was conducted. To allow its first graduates to continue, Bachelor of Science in Agriculture was then offered in June, 2010. In the same year, Bachelor of Science in Forestry and Bachelor of Arts in General Curriculum were also added.

Then, under the administration of the 2nd University President, Dr. Don Vicente C. Real, fishery course was offered once again in NORSU Bais making the college as, "College of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries" He dubbed the college as the "show window" of the university where grand harvest festival was conducted with lectures and fora integrated to present new agricultural technologies to the people of the province, most especially the farmers from the adjacent cities and municipalities.

At present, CAFF continues embracing success at its greater heights under the able leadership of Dr. Joel P. Limson, the 3rd university president and Dr. Darlyn B. Posas, the dean. New infrastructures were built in the campus and one of which is the University Farm Technology Training and Development Center. Green houses were also added to maximize vegetable and crop production. MTCL was expanded and building for instruction was also renovated. The campus has also been considered as a haven for Forestry with the presence of the PFEN Demonstration farm.

Now, CAFF keeps on expanding its services to the community as it actively engages in instruction, research, extension and production activities in response to the vision and mission of the university.
