The Main and Pamplona campuses of Negros Oriental State University held their Recognition Day in 2024 with the theme "Revitalizing Academic Resiliency" on May 24, 2024. The all-day program had guest speakers who were alumni from the university, specifically Engineer Bernard Z. Duran, who ranked in the top 5 in the Civil Engineering Licensure Examination and works at the Department of Public Works and Highways in Siquijor Province, and Lt. Col. Nerito S. Lobrido, a NORSU Criminology graduate and now Chief of the Provincial Investigation and Detective Management Unit at the Antique Police Provincial Office. Present at the event from NORSU were University President Dr. Joel P. Limson, Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Rose Marie T. Pinili, Vice President for Research, Innovation, Development, and Extension Dr. Merivic G. Catada, Vice President for Admin and Finance Dr. Noel Marjon E. Yasi, and University Registrar Reymil T. Cadapan, along with college deans, assistant deans, and a few heads of offices.
