And will still be producing more lawyers in the years to come who could contribute to the improvement of the administration of the legal system in our society, as well as to assure the people of obtaining just, speedy and inexpensive determination of their cases.
Brief History
The College of Law opened under Board of Regents resolution No. 05 series of 2005 dated February 3, 2005 as authorized under Section 3 of RA 9299 (NORSY Charter) during former university President Henry A. Sojor's administration, authorizing the state university to offer undergraduate and graduate studies, including, among others, law. With Judge Temistocles D. Diez as CoL's first dean, the college had their modest and humble beginning having no classrooms to utilize with, thus, conducting classes on Jollibee, lounges within the university, and even on the instructor's house. Attorney Pearl S. Estacion took office in 2005 as the college dean replacing Judge Diez. College of Law is relatively new compared to the two other existing Law Colleges of Silliman and Foundation University that have been in existing for more than five decades. College of Law has been in existence for almost eight years now.
