The modernized PhilGEPS (mPhilGEPS) Training for Negros Oriental State University (NORSU) Procurement Personnel successfully ended today, September 27, 2024. The mPhilGEPS training was led by the VP for Administration and Finance and BAC Chairperson, Dr. Merivic G. Catada. The training aims to adapt the mPhilGEPS, which is the new primary source and repository of information on government procurement, to which the BAC members, secretariats, Technical Working Group (TWG), and Implementing Units must be adept.

On his closing remarks, Dr. Edwin F. Romano, VP for Research, Innovation, Development, and Extension said, "This 3-day activity is a manifestation of the university's commitment to empower our human resources... So I think this is a good opportunity for us to learn."

Moreover, "One good thing about this modernized PhilGEPS is that it does not only promote convenience and efficiency, but it also shows transparency because all our undertakings are actually logged in already," Dr. Catada stated during her welcome address.

On the last day of training, each campus was able to successfully present their electronic bid submission (purchase request creation and bid notice creation) on PS-PhilGEPS.
