The Finance Office of Negros Oriental State University, headed by Mr. Reneboy A. Catubig, CPA, hosted its Third Quarterly Consultative Meeting on October 22, 2024, at ST AVR.
The Consultative Meeting reviews significant deviations from GAA targets and low-performing accomplishments. Moreover, the concerned offices submit detailed catch-up plans and will identify specific issues hindering progress.
Catubig presented the Financial Accomplishments as of September 2024. On the other hand, the Physical Accomplishments as of September 2024, and NEP Targets for 2025 were presented by Dr. Ryan O. Tayco, the Director of the Planning and Development Office.
Following their presentation, Catubig pointed out that some targets did not match per quarter on NEP Targets for 2025. Therefore, he requested that all offices concerned give their updated targets so that they can encode them into the budget execution document.
Furthermore, Dr. Noel Marjon E. Yasi, the University President, expressed that high traveling expenses are a dilemma he would like to control and filter with the help of deans and campus administrators.
Bayawan-Santa Catalina, Bais, Guihulngan, Mabinay, and Siaton campus administrators also presented their quarterly Financial & Physical accomplishments, as well as issues and concerns they experienced from their campuses.
In her closing remarks, Dr. Merivic G. Catada, the Vice President for Administration and Finance, stated, "For all the issues and concerns presented, rest assured that our office will have to review those... we have to process it and discuss with the offices concerned."
Catada thanked the Finance Office, particularly the budget and accounting, for hosting the quarterly meeting. Additionally, she is hopeful that the last quarter report will surely target what they are aiming for.
