"Gender equality is not just a goal to achieve , but a continuous journey that requires our unwavering commitment and collective effort, " emphasized Negros Oriental State University President Noel Marjon E. Yasi during his message at the Seminar for Members of the GAD Focal Point System for Committee on Decorum and Investigation (CODI) and Administrative Disciplinary Rules on Sexual Harassment Cases conducted last October 29, 2024.
Dr. Yasi encouraged everyone to create a world where everyone, regardless of gender , has the opportunity to reach their potential.
Lectures during the one-day seminar include Ethics in handling ODI and Administrative Disciplinary Rules on Sexual Harassment Cases Seminar , discussed by Dr. Aileen Rosette M. Felix, University GAD Director , and Atty. Marie Chielo H. Ybio, Office of the Solicitor General Deputize Lawyer , respectively.
Atty. Ybio emphasized that as members of the CODI in the different campuses of NORSU, everyone must be equipped with the knowledge of the different laws commonly involved in cases that deal with dynamics between student-teacher, trainer-trainee, and even subordinate-superior and supervisor-manager.
Participants in the said seminar were Campus Administrators, directors of the different offices , and GAD Coordinators.
