The Gender and Development (GAD) Center, in partnership with the GAD Colleges, conducted a series of online and offline seminars on the Safe Spaces Act (Republic Act 11313), also known as the "Bawal Bastos Law." Target participants are all students of Negros Oriental State University (NORSU), particularly those undergoing on-the-job training (OJT).

They aim to educate students about the provisions of the Safe Spaces Act and its importance in creating a safe and respectful learning environment, especially for students who are in job training at various workplaces. The Act mandates that offices and agencies disseminate information and conduct orientations on the law and its implementing rules.

The 1st batch of the series of seminars was conducted last February 12,2025 held at NORSU Sports and Cultural Complex. Upcoming schedules are as follows: February 26, 2025, with Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology and Bachelor of Technological Education; February 27, 2025, with Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Bachelor of Computer Science and Information Technology; February 28, 2025, with CBA, Chemistry, Biology, and Geology students; and March 7, 2025, with fourth-year Bachelor of Science in Hospitality students.
