The Negros Oriental State University (NORSU) Office of Curriculum and Instruction conducted a training-workshop today, April 15, 2026, focused on the "Cluster Unification of Undergraduate Capstone/Thesis."
Held at the CAS AVR, the event brought together faculty members from across the NORSU campuses to streamline the standards for the Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (BSCS) and Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) programs.
The morning session kicked off with a rationale and introduction by Mr. Carlo M. Gadingan, LPT, MAELEd, followed by inspirational messages from university officials:
Dr. Ralph A. Cardeño (Director, Curriculum and Instruction)
Dr. Libertine C. De Guzman (Vice President for Academic Affairs)
A key focus of the morning was the formal presentation of Thesis and Capstone project templates. These guidelines are strictly aligned with CMO 25, Series of 2015, ensuring that NORSU’s computing programs remain compliant with national academic standards while fostering a unified approach across different campuses.
The afternoon was dedicated to workshop sessions, allowing participants to collaborate on the implementation of these unified standards. The event marked a significant step forward in the university’s commitment to academic excellence and administrative unity in the field of technology.
