The Negros Oriental State University (NORSU) entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Bohol Island State University (BISU) on September 12, 2024, at the University Board Room.

The MOU binds both universities to develop the following activities of mutual interest on the basis of equality and reciprocity: co-organizing events like lectures, symposia, and conferences; collaborative research and extension projects; exchange of academic information and materials; exchange of faculty, researchers, and other research administrative staff as well as exchange of students.

Representing NORSU were University President Dr. Noel Marjon E. Yasi, VP for Administration and Finance Dr. Merivic G. Catada, VP for Academic Affairs Dr. Rose Marie T. Pinili, VP for Research, Innovation, Development, and Extension Dr. Edwin F. Romano, Jr., Dean of the College of Business Administration Dr. Benjamin S. Villagonzalo, Dr.Tulip F.Lopez, Acting Dean of the College of Tourism and Hospitality Management and some members of the faculty. Representing BISU were University President Dr. Anthony M. Penaso together with other top officials and faculty.
