The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) of the Negros Island Region (NIR) held its Orientation on Scholarship CHED Memorandum Orders (CMOs) and other Relevant Issuances with Scholarship Coordinators, at Negros Oriental State University.

The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) of the Negros Island Region (NIR) held its Orientation on Scholarship CHED Memorandum Orders (CMOs) and other Relevant Issuances with Scholarship Coordinators yesterday, January 9, 2025 at Negros Oriental State University.

The program officially commenced with welcome remarks from Dr. Raul C. Alvares, Jr., REE, CESO III, CHED NIR Director, followed by an inspirational message from Prof. Edna Imelda F. Legazpi, Director of the Office of Student Development and Services.

Dr. Paulo C. Cabanero, Education Supervisor II/SIKAP Focal Person, presented the CMOs and other relevant issuances of the SIKAP Grant. The UniFAST Secretariat's Atty. Ryan L. Estevez, OIC-Executive Director IV, and Dir. Corinna Frances Cabanilla, Director-in-Charge of the SIKAP Grant, provided inspirational messages, respectively.

Thereafter, the presentation of CMOs and other relevant issuances proceeded with UniFAST, presented by Dr. Rosslin John H. Robles, Education Supervisor II/UniFAST Focal Person, followed by StuFAP, presented by Dr. Danebeth G. Narzoles, OIC, Supervising Education Program Specialist/StuFAP Focal Person.

The program officially concluded with closing remarks from Dr. Gregorio B. Perez, Jr., OIC, Office of the Chief Administrative Officer.

In the afternoon, a separate orientation for School Registrars and SAS Focal Persons on relevant CMOs and Issuances regarding Special Orders, CAV, NSTP, and Data Collection was presented by Mr. Dennis M. Lagmay, Administrative Officer III/Records Officer; Ms. Ann Grazielle P. Arcenas, Education Program Specialist II/NSTP Focal Person; and Dr. Rosslin John H. Robles, Education Supervisor II/HEMIS, respectively.
