Negros Oriental State University (NORSU) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) regarding the conduct of a Feasibility Study (FS) for the Tamlang Valley Sustainable Agriculture for Growth and Resiliency (TV-SAGR) Project with the Province of Negros Oriental and the Department of Agriculture today, January 13, 2025, at the Provincial Government Office.
The TV-SAGR aims to enhance agricultural productivity and food security in Negros Oriental, with upcoming activities focused on rice cultivation, improving access, and providing skills training for agro-industrial development.
NORSU will lead the feasibility study for the Tamlang Valley, which spans approximately 26,000 hectares and is considered the "food basket" of Central Visayas, encompassing shared borders with the following four towns: Siaton, Santa Catalina, Sibulan, and Valencia.
