Negros Oriental State University (NORSU) is a recipient of a new 50 HP Kubota tractor with farming implement complete with tools, from the Provincial Agriculturists Office (PAO) under the Negros Oriental Farm mechanization Program.
Present during the turnover and acceptance ceremony held on February 24, 2025 at the Provincial Capitol, were NORSU President Dr. Noel Marjon E. Yasi together with NORSU Guihulngan Campus Director Dr. Richard B. Osumo, and College of Forestry and Fisheries Department Chairperson Alan E. Faburada. The said farm implement will be stationed in NORSU Guihulngan to enhance the agricultural education, promote innovation, and strengthen research and practical learning for students under the Agriculture program, ensuring a more productive and sustainable agricultural sector in the province.
Also in attendance were Vice President for Research, Development, and Extension Dr. Edwin F. Romano, Jr., and University Extension Director Dr. Guilbert Nicanor A. Atillo.
Representing the PAO on behalf of Provincial Governor Manuel L. Sagarbarria was Atty. Miles Nicholas Bejar, Provincial Legal Officer, witnessed by Emmanuel A. Caduyac, Provincial Agriculturist.
