A month-long Women's Month celebration, the Negros Oriental State University Gender and Development Center organized a lecture for all faculty and staff anchored on the theme Babae sa Lahat ng Sektor, Aangat ang Bukas sa Bagong Pilipinas.

As a culmination of the month-long Women's Month celebration, the Negros Oriental State University Gender and Development Center organized a lecture for all faculty and staff anchored on the theme Babae sa Lahat ng Sektor, Aangat ang Bukas sa Bagong Pilipinas.

The participants were warmly welcomed by Dr. Edwin F. Romano, Jr., Vice President for Research, Development, and Extension.

The first part of the lecture was presented by Atty. Slynn R. Suares-Lavilla, Clerk of Court V, Branch 13, who conducted a lecture on Re-Orientation: Magna Carta for Women, emphasizing Gender Equality. The second speaker, Dr. Anna Lissa Bernados, a Diplomate Obstetrician Gynecologist, discussed Reproductive Health, highlighting the importance of women, their bodies and prevention from diseases commonly experienced by them.

Certificates of Recognition were presented to the different winners of various contests, and Tokens of Appreciation were given to the esteemed speakers. Trivia questions followed, giving participants the chance to win notebooks and t-shirts.

To close the program, Dr. Merivic G. Catada, Vice President for Administration and Finance, reminded everyone of their commitment to gender equality.
