With the theme "Dedicated to Serve, Empowered to Lead - Together, We SHINE at NORSU!", the Oath-Taking Ceremony for Negros Oriental State University's newly appointed and promoted faculty and administrative personnel was held today, April 4, 2025.
The faculty and staff were cordially welcomed by Dr. Edwin F. Romano Jr., Vice President for Research, Development, and Extension, who emphasized that administrators and teachers are primarily servants of the community and students.
The newly hired and promoted faculty and staff were presented by Dr. Dee Laila C. Buhian, Acting Human Resource Management Officer.
During the message from the University President, Hon. Noel Marjon E. Yasi, Psy.D., employees were encouraged to open their minds, embrace learning again, ask questions, seek guidance, and be curious. Dr. Yasi also highlighted the key principles of collaboration, growth mindset, and gratitude.
Words of challenge to the faculty and staff were delivered by Dr. Rose Marie T. Pinili, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Merivic G. Catada, Vice President for Administration and Finance, respectively.
The closing remarks were given by Dr. Cesar P. Estrope, Vice President for Student Affairs Services, reminding everyone to live by the acronym NMY, which stands for Nurturing Spirit, Mindfulness, and Yielding of Excellence.
