Negros Oriental State University (NORSU) recently participated in DILAAB 2025, held from May 1 to 3 at the OLCON Auditorium, University of San Jose - Recoletos, Basak Campus, Cebu City.

Negros Oriental State University (NORSU) recently participated in DILAAB 2025, held from May 1 to 3 at the OLCON Auditorium, University of San Jose - Recoletos, Basak Campus, Cebu City. This three-day gathering, designed to empower student leaders and Student Affairs and Services (SAS) practitioners across Central Visayas, carried the theme "Forging the FIRE through Focusing, Innovating, Relating, and Experiencing Transformative Stewardship."

Representing NORSU were student leaders and SAS practitioners: Hon. Jeev E. Japin, Hon. Ram Robert Vincci R. Lazan, Hon. Reymer John Ferrer, Hon. Stephen C. Pedrosa, Mr. Lanvin Calugcugan, Ms. Carmelle Dela Cerna, Mrs. Charity Tereza, Mr. Reynaldo J. Navarro, and Mrs. Anna Lisa Mugar. Their presence reaffirmed the university’s commitment to leadership development and student empowerment.

During the said gathering, Student Government President Ram Robert Vincci R. Lazan of NORSU, was elected as both President of the Student Leaders Network of Negros Island-Siquijor cluster and President of the Student Leaders Network of Central Visayas.

DILAAB 2025, an initiative spearheaded by the Philippine Association of Practitioners of Student Affairs and Services (PAPSAS) and the Student Leaders Network of Central Visayas (SLN-CV), seeks to create a dynamic and supportive network among student leaders from Cebu, Bohol, and the Negros Island-Siquijor clusters. Through engaging discussions, interactive activities, and transformative leadership sessions, the event fostered collaboration and inspired participants to become catalysts for change in their respective communities.
