Negros Oriental State University, represented by President Noel Marjon E. Yasi, participated in the Kick-Off Ceremony today, May 20, 2025, to celebrate the 31st CHED Founding Anniversary and its 5th National Higher Education Day.

With the theme "Higher Heights in Higher Education," the celebration commenced with a Holy Mass held at the Sofia Soller Sinco Hall, Foundation University, Inc. A short program followed, facilitated by the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office of Negros Island.

Regional Director Raul C. Alvarez, Jr. assured school officials that the new CHEDRO would work hand in hand with them towards quality and relevant higher education. Messages of support were delivered by the presidents and representatives of Foundation University, Bacolod City College, Silliman University, and Negros Oriental State University. In the afternoon, a caravan followed.
