Hon. Noel Marjon E. Yasi, Psy.D, President of Negros Oriental State University (NORSU), has been officially installed as the new President of the Hanseatic League of Universities (HLU). This appointment followed after NORSU's successful hosting of the 5th HLU Conference from July 9-11, 2025.

The ceremonial passing of the gavel signifying the transfer of leadership was conducted by Dong Sung Cho, professor emeritus of Seoul National University and HLU president, on behalf of outgoing President Samuel Martin-Barbero.

Taiwan's National Chi Nan University will host the next Annual HLU Conference.
