Negros Oriental State University (NORSU) marked a significant milestone yesterday, October 13, 2025, with the formal turnover ceremony of the NORSU Development Center.

Negros Oriental State University (NORSU) marked a significant milestone yesterday, October 13, 2025, with the formal turnover ceremony of the NORSU Development Center. The event, held on the 4th floor of the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) Building, was attended by key university officials, staff, and guests .

The guests were warmly welcomed by Ar. Jason B. Ijan, OUPM PDO III. University President Noel Marjon E. Yasi expressed his gratitude for the presence of former NORSU President , Dr. Joel P. Limson, and acknowledged his achievements and service to NORSU.

The project overview and acknowledgment of stakeholders were presented by Dr. Cesar P. Estrope, VP for Student Affairs and Services. Dr. Estrope shared the four-fold objectives of the NORSU Development Center:
1. Preserve history and legacy
2. Enhance visibility and recognition
3. Facilitate research and learning
4. Engage stakeholders

In his message, Dr. Joel P. Limson expressed his happiness over the realization of the NORSU Development Center, an idea conceptualized by Dr. Colette O. Abequibel and Dr. Cesar P. Estrope and supported by Dr. Noel Marjon E. Yasi.

The turnover of project documents and key responsibilities by Atty. Joe Kenneth Arbas, Owner, SBK Construction , and the ceremonial cutting of the ribbon followed thereafter.

The guests were also given a tour of the Memorabilia Display Area. To formally close the program, Dr. Ryan O. Tayco, Campus Director, MC1, MC2, and Pamplona Campus, thanked all the guests for gracing today's event.
