NORSU celebrates the achievements of its faculty researchers at the 1st Davao Sustainable Futures Conference held on Oct 29–30, 2025, at the Grand Regal Hotel, Davao City, with the theme “Futuring Together: Breaking Grounds, Shaping Directions.”

Negros Oriental State University is proud of the outstanding achievements of its faculty researchers at the 1st Davao Sustainable Futures Conference (DSFC) held on October 29-30, 2025, at the Grand Regal Hotel, Lanang, Davao City, with the theme "Futuring Together: Breaking Grounds, Shaping Directions."
Two NORSU researchers brought home Best Paper Awards in their respective categories: Dr. Ryan O. Tayco for his paper titled "The Interplay of Human Resource Management Practices, Organizational Climate, and Employee Outcomes on Organizational Outcomes in Accommodation Facilities in the Central Philippines."
Dr. Benjamin S. Villagonzalo Jr., together with Dr. Chizanne S. Larena, Dr. Ryan O. Tayco, and Dr. Dee Laila C. Buhian, for their paper titled "Service Quality Assessment of the HR Logix Application in Negros Oriental State University."
In addition, Prof. Arnie B. Villanueva, a faculty member of the College of Tourism and Hospitality Management (CTHM)-Main Campus, presented his paper entitled "Service Quality and Customer Satisfaction Among Coffee Shops in Dumaguete City, Philippines."
Attendees to the 1st Davao Sustainable Futures Conference were Dr. Ryan O. Tayco, Dr. Benjamin S. Villagonzalo Jr., Dr. Dee Laila C. Buhian, Dr. Dindo R. de la Peña, Dr. Vito Carlo M. Genove, Prof. Arnie B. Villanueva, Prof. Jeffrey V. Estores, and Ms. Carmelle C. Dela Cerna.
