NORSU entered into a Memorandum of Agreement with AFS Intercultural Programs Philippines Foundation, Inc. (AFS IPPFI), an educational organization based in Pasig City, Metro Manila.

Negros Oriental State University (NORSU) entered into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the AFS Intercultural Programs Philippines Foundation, Inc. (AFS IPPFI), an educational organization based in Pasig City, Metro Manila.

AFS IPPFI offers transformative educational programs to promote global citizenship, intercultural learning, leadership, and volunteerism. NORSU and AFS IPPFI aim to equip Filipino students and teachers with essential 21st-century skills for competitiveness.

The collaborative partnership was formed to implement educational programs by AFS IPPFI and NORSU, emphasizing global citizenship education and providing life-changing opportunities for qualified students, educators, and staff through intercultural competence and understanding.

Representing NORSU was Dr. Noel Marjon E. Yasi, the University President, along with Dr. Craig N. Refugio, Director of University International Relations, and Dr. Ryan O. Tayco, Campus Director. The officials from AFS IPPFI attended the signing via a Zoom meeting. Representing AFS IPPFI were Ms. Rahiema Bagis Guerra, National Director of AFS IPPFI, along with Ms. Ysabelle Heart Bustamante, Educators and School Relations of AFS IPPFI, and other participants.
