Negros Oriental State University’s College of Tourism and Hospitality Management (CTHM) proudly participated in the Cluster Farms and Industry Encounters through the Science and Technology Agenda (FIESTA), held on October 20–24, 2025, at Orchids Garden, San Fernando City, Pampanga.
Representing the college were CTHM Associate Dean Dr. Millard Vaughn Tubog, Innovation Coordinator Prof. Ma. Leroz P. Rizada, and faculty member Prof. Cynie T. Antique, who showcased CTHM’s flagship food technologies: Tilapia Floss, Tilapia Spread, and Tilapia Jerky—innovations developed by CTHM Dean Dr. Tulip F. Lopez, Prof. Sheena T. Guevarra, and Dr. Pirl I. Enquilino.
With the theme “From Pond to Plate: Celebrating a Sustainable Tilapia Industry,” the four-day event brought together regional consortia, including CVAARRDEC, MAARRDEC, NOMCAARRD, ViCARP, and WESVAARRDEC. The gathering highlighted science-based innovations that strengthen and modernize the tilapia industry nationwide.
Activities featured technology exhibits, cooking competitions, pitching sessions, and expert forums—celebrating Filipino ingenuity, sustainable aquaculture, and the vital role of research and innovation in community development.
