The Negros Oriental State University (NORSU) conducted its 2026 University-Wide Prioritization Planning Conference today, January 15, 2026, at the Rovira Suites Dumaguete. Led by the Office of the University President (OTUP) under the leadership of Dr. Noel Marjon E. Yasi, the event was attended by vice presidents, campus directors, assistant campus directors, and heads of offices directly under the OTUP.
The conference aims to align initiatives to ensure that resources are directed toward the university's most critical objectives.
In his welcoming remarks, Pres. Yasi stated, "We are here to plan for the coming year, and it's fitting that we start off by knowing where we are headed, knowing what to do, and knowing where we are."
The conference focuses on the presentation of priority targets from the following: the Office of the University President, Vice Presidents (Administration and Finance, Academic Affairs, RDE, and Student Affairs), Campus Directors (MC I, MC II, Pamplona, Bais, Guihulngan, Mabinay, and Siaton), and Assistant Campus Directors (Bayawan Campus).
Insights from the presentations will help shape the roadmap for the university this year. Furthermore, the conference also ensures the planning is executable, fiscally responsible, and compliant with the developmental targets.
Following the presentations, Pres. Yasi emphasized the importance of strictly monitoring the attendance of the faculty, monitoring faculty equipment and budget needs, and evaluating the organizational structure.
