In celebration of National Women’s Month, the College of Tourism & Hospitality Management (CTHM) at Negros Oriental State University, in coordination with the Gender and Development (GAD) Office, successfully held a Culinary Masterclass titled “Women in Culinary Leadership: Breaking Barriers, Building Legacies.”

The event took place today, March 11, 2026, at the NORSU Uni-Bistro, with Ms. Isabel L. Sagabarria, NOHRRA Vice-President for Restaurants, as Guest of Honor and Speaker.

The masterclass emphasized the vital role of women in advancing culinary leadership, inspiring students and professionals to break barriers and build lasting legacies in the hospitality and tourism industry.

CTHM, through its Dean Dr. Tulip F. Lopez and Associate Dean Dr. Millard Vaughn Tubog, conveys its profound appreciation to Ms. Isabel L. Sagabarria, Guest of Honor and Speaker, for graciously sharing her expertise and inspiring journey in culinary leadership. Her valuable insights greatly enriched the masterclass and provided meaningful inspiration to all participants.

The College likewise extends its gratitude to the Negros Oriental Hotel Resort Restaurant Association ( NOHRRA), university faculty and staff, CTHM GAD Coordinator Glennen Zamora, and the CTHM Student Government officers for their dedication and support in organizing the event. Special recognition is also given to Dr. Aileen Rosete Felix for her steadfast encouragement in advancing gender and development initiatives within the University.
