NORSU faculty researchers virtually presented their paper, “Silhouette-Guided Optimization of DBSCAN for Swarm Behavior Clustering,” at the 3rd ICMSLE 2026 hosted by Sharda University, India, on March 27–28, 2026.

Negros Oriental State University was represented in the two latest International Conferences held on February and March 2026 respectively. Dr. Ryan B. Escorial, Dr. Chester L.Cofino, Mr.Japhet F. Fulmaran, and Mr. Van Roger B. Gutib successfully presented through a virtual platform their research paper titled “Silhouette-Guided Optimization of DBSCAN for Swarm Behavior Clustering Using PCA, t-SNE, UMAP, and Autoencoder Embeddings” at the 3rd International Conference on Multi-Strategy Learning Environment (ICMSLE 2026) held on March 27–28, 2026, and organized by Sharda University, India.

While sometime in February, Dr. Ryan Escorial and Mr. Niño Franquine B. Diamano presented a research publication in the IEEE Conference Proceedings of the 5th International Conference on Sentiment Analysis and Deep Learning (ICSADL 2026).

Their paper, titled “The Role of Recommender Systems in Everyday Life,” showcases a meaningful collaboration between faculty and student, highlighting the department’s commitment to fostering research mentorship and academic excellence.

The conference proceedings will be published by Springer and indexed in Scopus, marking a significant milestone in disseminating the output to the global academic community.
