In preparation for the upcoming campus-wide disaster simulation exercises in May 2026, a Fire Response Training was conducted today, April 17, 2026, at the NORSU I Main Campus. The training was attended by students from the College of Nursing, Pharmacy and Allied Sciences, the College of Criminal Justice, and the College of Industrial Technology – Bachelor of Science in Aviation Maintenance.

The scheduled simulation exercises are designed to enhance the knowledge, skills, and preparedness of students in responding effectively to emergency and disaster situations within the campus. They also aim to promote interdepartmental collaboration and strengthen the university’s overall disaster readiness. The speakers and facilitators of the training were: FO2 Rogie Peñas (Fire Plans and Training), FO1 Lorence John Cartalla (PIO), FO1 Christian Angelo Evan (Fire Engine Crew), and FO1 Mark John Agdol (Fire Truck Operator).

The training activities, initiated by CNPAHS, are part of the Disaster Nursing course under Dr. Girlie M. Odonel, Level IV Coordinator.
