Negros Oriental State University (NORSU) kicked off Day 1 of the Technology Commercialization Mentorship Series (TCMS) Re-Echo Training Workshop today, April 23, 2026. The event aims to empower faculty and researchers with the vital skills needed to transition academic innovations into the commercial market.

The participants were cordially welcomed by Dr. Benjamin S. Villagonzalo, Jr., the Director of University Research & Development, who emphasized the importance of bridging the gap between laboratory research and real-world application.

A significant portion of the day was dedicated to the discussion of Intellectual Property (IP) Valuation. Led by Dr. Pirl I. Enquilino, Director of University Enterprise Development (UED) and a National TCMS Graduate and IP Valuation Training Completer, the sessions focused on The Value of Intangible Assets Market Research Valuation Approaches.

The afternoon transitioned from lecture to action with an intensive hands-on workshop, wherein participants apply valuation theories to actual university-developed technologies.
