In connection with Negros Oriental State University’s application for a Government Permit Level II for Academic Year 2026–2027, the Legal Education Board (LEB) Inspection Team conducted an on-site inspection today, May 13, 2026.
The LEB is an independent Philippine government agency created by Republic Act No. 7662 (1993) to regulate and reform legal education, supervise law schools, and set accreditation standards.
The LEB Inspection Team, composed of Mr. John Roben M. Ambas, Ms. Annie Mae M. Baldago, MPA, and Ms. Jucel E. Camontoy, aimed to assess the school’s compliance with the standards and requirements for legal education.
Present during the inspection were Dr. Noel Marjon E. Yasi, University President; Dr. Ryan O. Tayco, Campus Director; Mr. Rene Boy A. Catubig, CPA, MBA, Chief Administrative Officer for Finance; Atty. Marcelino Mikhail Lee L. Maxino, LL.M., Interim (part-time consultant) Dean of the School of Law; Atty. Mary Sloane T. Rockwell-Callao, Associate Dean of the School of Law; Dr. Colette O. Abequibel, University Librarian; Ms. Cendi F. Enolpe, Law Librarian; and various personnel from the School of Law.
