Negros Oriental State University (NORSU) successfully concluded its workshop on the NORSU Organizational Structure for Continuous Quality Improvement today, May 22, 2026, following two days of productive sessions, collaborative workshops, and presentations at Sea Horizon, Zamboanguita.
The two-day activity aligns with the NORSU administration's commitment to continuous quality improvement and the promotion of shared governance and participatory decision-making.
Following a series sessions and group workshops on the first day, the second day focused on output presentations and an open forum. Group 1 (Human Resource Distribution) presented first, followed by Group 2 (Structural Clarity and Coherence), Group 3 (Financial and Communication Process Efficiency), and Group 4 (Innovation and Digital Transformation).
Dr. Efren B. Carreon, the main facilitator, extended his congratulations to everyone for the successful workshop.
"You achieved the objectives of the workshop more than my expectations," Carreon said. He also outlined ways forward, sharing recommendations on how to realize the outputs generated during the event.
Consequently, Dr. Chizanne S. Larena, Chairperson of the Revised Organizational Structure and Designations (ROSD) Committee, discussed the timeline for the finalization and implementation of the agreements and recommendations. This was followed by a message of commitment from Dr. Merivic G. Catada, Vice President for Academic and Finance.
The activity officially concluded with the signing of a commitment of support by key university officials, resource persons, and all participants.
