To celebrate its 22nd Charter Day, Negros Oriental State University (NORSU) organized "Leading with Purpose, Serving with Excellence: A Charter Day Leadership Forum" held at the Negros Oriental Convention Center today, June 26, 2026.

The event, featuring prominent educator Francisco J. Kong as the guest of honor and keynote speaker, was invited to share his insights on leadership and service with the university community.

The event brought together university officials, faculty, and guests for an afternoon of professional development and collaboration.

Dr. Ryan O. Tayco, Campus Director, NORSU Main Campus I & II, delivered the welcome remarks. University President Noel Marjon E. Yasi, Psy.D. followed with the rationale of the event. Dr. Edwin F. Romano, Vice President for Research, Development and Extension, introduced Francisco J. Kong, who then delivered his address focusing on purpose-driven leadership and institutional excellence.

After an interactive Open Forum, University President Dr. Noel Marjon E. Yasi presented a Plaque of Appreciation to the guest speaker.

The evening concluded with the closing remarks from Dr. Cesar P. Estrope, Vice President for Student Affairs and Services, and a Fellowship Dinner.
