Members of the Negros Oriental State University (NORSU) community joined the Walk for a Cause: “Pick a Trash Walk” today, June 27, 2026, to mark the celebration of Environment Month.
This year's celebration centers on the theme, "From Ridges to the Reef: Save our Mountains! Save our Seas!"
Organized by the City Government of Dumaguete in coordination with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), the environmental initiative commenced at Dumaguete City National High School and concluded at the City Hall grounds.
The NORSU delegation included university heads of offices, deans, associate deans, program heads, faculty, staff, and students from Main Campuses I and II. Armed with banners, sack bags, and gloves, the participants actively collected waste along the route.
NORSU’s active participation in the event underscores its commitment to promoting environmental awareness and fostering collective action toward a cleaner, greener Dumaguete.
