The Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities of Industrial Technology (PACUIT) recently conducted its 3rd Quarter Board Meeting at the Negros Oriental State University (NORSU) Boardroom in Dumaguete City.
The primary agenda of the meeting was the upcoming 7th International and 22nd National PACUIT Conference, tentatively scheduled for November 18–20, 2026, which will be hosted by NORSU.
PACUIT has approximately 50 active member colleges and universities offering Industrial Technology programs. NORSU is an active institutional member of the organization and was elected Vice President of the PACUIT Board in 2025.
Among those who attended the meeting were NORSU President Dr. Noel Marjon E. Yasi, College of Industrial Technology (CIT) Dean Dr. Herminio Tinguban, and some CIT faculty members. The meeting was presided over by Southern Luzon State University President Dr. Frederick Villa.
Representatives from Iloilo Science and Technology University, Bulacan State University, Cagayan State University, and the Metals Industry Research and Development Center were also present.
Dr. Tinguban shared that one of the major challenges in NORSU's preparation for the upcoming national conference is securing invited speakers and ensuring the attendance of PACUIT member institutions.
PACUIT regularly conducts board meetings, skills enhancement and training programs, and research conferences to promote professional development and collaboration among its member institutions.
