Negros Oriental State University (NORSU), led by University President Hon. Noel Marjon E. Yasi, is participating in the 2026 Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC) Annual Convention and General Assembly, taking place from July 13 to 15, 2026, at the SMX Convention Center Manila.

This year's convention carries the theme, "Transformative Leadership and Strategic Governance: Empowering SUCs for Sustainable and Inclusive Futures," bringing together leaders of state universities and colleges across the country to discuss strategies and initiatives that will strengthen higher education.

The convention aims to strengthen the country's state universities and colleges (SUCs) by enhancing strategic governance, promoting sustainable development, fostering collaboration among key stakeholders, and reaffirming their commitment to excellence in instruction, research, extension, and production. It also seeks to equip SUC leaders with innovative strategies and a unified direction to address the evolving needs of higher education and society.
