Negros Oriental State University (NORSU) hosted a specialized learning session titled "KAIZEN: Japanese Organizational Culture and Continuous Improvement" today, August 14, 2026, at the CEA-AVR, NORSU Main Campus II. Focused on the theme of cultivating discipline, quality, and institutional excellence, the seminar aimed to explore how Japanese organizational practices can be integrated into the university's operations to elevate both administrative and academic standards.

University President Dr. Noel Marjon E. Yasi delivered the welcome remarks and shared the statement of purpose, underscoring NORSU's dedication to continuous growth and operational efficiency. Following the opening, Resource speaker Atty. Ricky A. Sabornay, FCIArb, led the core module on organizational culture and continuous improvement, introducing attendees to the core principles of Kaizen. His presentation highlighted how adopting a mindset of steady, incremental improvements and structured discipline can lead to long-term organizational transformation.

The lecture was followed by an open forum and administrative discussion, providing participants with a platform to address practical applications of Kaizen within their respective units.

The session featured an intermission number and the formal presentation of a certificate and token of appreciation to Atty. Sabornay. NORSU School of Law Associate Dean Atty. Mary Sloane T. Rockwell-Callao delivered the closing remarks, summarizing the key takeaways for institutional growth, before the session concluded with a closing prayer.
