Negros Oriental State University (NORSU) held a workshop today, August 18, 2026, at the Library Conference Room, Main Campus I, focused on updating the NORSU Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) Citizen’s Charter. The activity brought together university key officials, deans, associate deans, and staff to streamline University services and enhance institutional transparency and efficiency.

Dr. Merivic G. Catada, Vice President for Administration and Finance (VPAF), formally opened the event with welcome remarks emphasizing efficiency, transparency, and accountability in administrative operations. Hon. Noel Marjon E. Yasi, University President, delivered an inspirational message, reinforcing the university's commitment to compliance with national service standards. Ms. Ma. Cristina J. Malto, Legal Assistant under VPAF, presented an overview of the Citizen’s Charter mechanics to guide attendees on compliance and administrative standards.

The primary focus of the event involved hands-on activity, featuring workshop sessions and output finalization throughout the day led by assigned facilitators. The event concluded with the presentation of the participants' output, showcasing the updated operational guidelines, followed by closing remarks delivered by Dr. Libertine C. De Guzman, Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA).
