The Negros Oriental State University (NORSU) Planning and Development Office, headed by Engr. Celestina O. Favor, Planning and Development Officer, conducted the Land Use Development and Infrastructure Plan (LUDIP) Workshop today, September 10, 2026, at the University Library Conference Hall. The LUDIP serves as a 10-year roadmap for the university’s physical development, establishing strategic priorities for infrastructure and land utilization across NORSU’s nine campuses.

In his message, University President Dr. Noel Marjon E. Yasi stated that one of NORSU’s primary goals is to be recognized as one of the most respected universities in the country. He emphasized that, to establish such recognition, the university must also focus on its physical appearance. “In everything we do, appearance always matters,” he added.

The LUDIP is designed to ensure that both proposed and ongoing projects remain aligned with NORSU’s site development plans, actual needs, available land, and funding priorities.

Engr. Favor; Engr. Christopher B. Patrimonio, Director of the Project Management Office; and Engr. Jesus Villafuerte, Jr., Project Development Officer II, presented the following topics, respectively: “Presentation of the Current LUDIP,” “NORSU Land Issues & LUDIP Implications,” and “Establishing Building ID, Project ID, and Project Naming System.”

In the afternoon, architects, engineers, and draftsmen from all campuses participated in a workshop focused on generating standardized Building IDs, Project IDs, and official project names. The activity concluded with a presentation of their outputs.
