Negros Oriental State University (NORSU) continued its drive toward global academic excellence with Day 2 of the "Re-Orientation and Upskilling on WURI, THE, and QS Seminar-Workshop" on September 15, 2026, held at the CNPAHS AVR, Main Campus I.

Dr. Craig N. Refugio, Director of the NORSU Office of University International Relations (OUIR), delivered the opening remarks to formally welcome the participants and set the goals for the day.

The highlight of the day was the Output Presentation segment, where participating faculty presented their initial outputs for university internationalization and rankings compliance. Serving as a resource speaker and expert evaluator, Dr. Joe-an Mae G. Escober, Director for International Affairs and Linkages and Campus Administrator (Victorias Campus) at Central Philippines State University (CPSU), thoroughly reviewed the presented outputs.

Dr. Escober provided critical evaluation and insightful, practical recommendations aimed at enhancing the precision, alignment, and quality of NORSU’s submissions for international ranking bodies—specifically Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI), and Times Higher Education (THE). Her expert feedback offered actionable pathways to elevate the impact and structure of the university’s documentation.

Following the output review, participants engaged in an open forum to clarify methodologies and implementation strategies. The program concluded with closing remarks delivered by Dr. Libertine C. De Guzman, NORSU Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA).
